‘Gods Of The Winds’ is the latest act of volumous communion by Ritual Purification. Having previously presented their staggering work on labels like BISAD, Mutual Aid, Drama Recorder, Enforced Existence and many more, ‘Gods Of The Winds’ maintains this exceptional standard, with three huge, ferocious, enveloping tracks of masterfully constructed noise, drone and tone.

Opener ’Sky Bearer’ begins tentatively before expanding into a cascade of billowing, barely contained audio turbulence. This then gives way to the thundering, earthen drone of ‘U Kʼux Kaj’ and finally the uninhibited, psychedelic noise goliath of ‘Ọya’. Ritual Purification creates a blown-out soundscape of the most colossal, enveloping and deliriously chaotic kind; rarely static, it exerts such immense velocity and volume it becomes impossible to not get lost in the raw, monumental charge.

A three-part dedication to gods of the winds and thundering skies.
