After releasing a slew of exceptionally diverse and punishing releases on his Silken Heart imprint (co-run with the incredible smr.tni in Essen, Germany), Rhizome Weaver offers what is his most ferocious and uncompromising release yet with ‘You Are Not Sorry Enough’.

Whereas with previous releases there would be a melange of styles and techniques exhibited, for ‘You Are Not Sorry Enough’ Rhizome Weaver has produced almost an hour of uninhibited, full-throated harsh noise. A gruesome and resolute exploration into caustic texture, unrelenting volume and punishing endurance, the individual tracks on ‘You Are…’ act more as demarcations within the relentless, seismic fury of the offering as a whole, with micro-tonal changes throughout acting like elemental moments of respiration, like a sea of granite incrementally surging and receding.

At nearly an hour long, ‘You Are Not Sorry Enough’ will test the capacity of even the most endured noise advocate. It’s an album that seeks to grind down the listener into total submission through unremitting intensity and sheer colossal mass.
