We are pleased to release the first EP by Samantha Hernandez (fkaTheia, aka Parasite Nurse) under her full name.
The two sides of "Dead Metaphor" reflect a deeply personal journey of belonging, the ambivalence of desire, the barely communicatable irrationality of longing and the tourmoils of a persons inner being. Two tracks of modular ambience flow and ebb, merge and explode, crescend and collapse in an almost devotional authentic naturality. A prime example of how we might listen to the same recordings and yet experience contrary emotions, confront different expectations and still crave for a singular explanation, that might indeed become a dead metaphor and mean nothing to what initially was intended to communicate.
